Anyone use a Fitbit? Need a little help

Hi there! My husband got me a Fitbit for Christmas and I'm trying to figure out how to set a "calories burned" goal. I'm not sure how it works but I think I'd like to try this rather than have it track the number of steps I take each day. Basically, I'm trying to eat around 1,500 calories on MFP and will be logging my food. The default number is 2,700 calories burned (and I know you burn calories anyways just by sitting/breathing/etc. even without exercising) so I'm not really sure what to set it to. Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance!
