Hello!
I just bought some pre workouts to help my push through my cardio and muscle gym sessions.
Will these make me gain weight? The goal is to lose and the guy at my gym said these would be good for me to try.
Thank you!

Look at the labels and count the calories. That's how they'll contribute to your weight gain in the long run. Some of their ingredients might cause you to retain fluid -- a "pump" is fluid concentrating in your muscles -- and that might add to your weight temporarily, but it won't be fat and it will go away as soon as your "pump" does.

I am in no position to evaluate the truth of the claims made for these products, but what kind of "push" are you looking for? Adequate carbs for energy and adequate protein to rebuild your muscles after a workout are mostly what you need, as far as I know.

I will note that "Mammoth Pump" includes 200 mg of caffeine, an ingredient they rarely mention in their promo materials. This is generally where the "energy" comes from in these supplements regardless of the claims made for the ingredients they choose to promote, but you might as well just drink a 20 oz cup of coffee for the same caffeine. The "Preworkout Extreme Vasodilator" has 250 mg of caffeine, so I definitely would NOT use these at the same time.

Just taking a PWO will not make you gain weight. Most of them are basically caffeine with some other supplements in them and don't have many calories to them. If you work them into your overall calorie and macro goals, you'll be just fine. Give them a try and see if they ramp up the intensity of your workouts.

Watch out for caffeine headaches though. I just had to get off PWOs since I was getting headaches from too much caffeine.
