Trying times can be motivating

In 2015 I was diagnosed with the big "C". Scared me I'll tell you now. But I had been going to a clinic with a low caloric diet and was told not to limit my calories until given the all clear. Well, there went a 63 pound weight loss down the drain I figured. Actually I regained 25 of the 60 plus pounds and now I feel good enough that to try again. Not with the clinic (since it's only available once every 2 years and it's medically supervised) so I'm working on it myself. I learned or re-learned portion control. So here I am. Motivated by my wish to be healthier and more mobile. Stronger in mind and body.

I was diagnosed in June this year, so I know how scary the "C" word is. But I agree, a major health scare can be extremely motivating. You can do this!
