Weigh meat before or after cooking?

I recently read that we should be weighing our meat before cooking. My problem with that is that I usually cook a lot at once and then eat it throughout the week. I weigh it before doing so, but is that affecting my calorie counts? What about when I cook a dinner for my family? It is not practical to try to weigh whatever I am cooking separately from theirs. Or when I cook a whole chicken? Unless I am eating the whole chicken, bones and all, it would be impossible to weigh and log before eating - lol.

If you weigh cooked, use a cooked entry. As long as you are using the appropriate entry, you are more accurate than if you weighed raw and used a cooked entry.1
