Is there a way to submit a bar code and nutrition label to the database?

So, I got desperate and bought an energy bar today. When I got home and had internet again I went to add this to my food diary and it wasn't there. Ok, not everything will be, but I still have my wrapper and would happily submit it for you to add, if I knew where to submit it. :)

If the energy bar is a fairly new product or new flavor, the nutrition information may not have been added by another MFP user yet.

Adding the nutrition information, then associating the new food item with a barcode is a two step process. The first step is to create and save the nutrition information for the food item either on the web version and share it with the public Food Database or create and save the food item on the mobile app (it will be shared by default in that case). The second step is to use the mobile app and scan the barcode; when it does not find a match, choose the option to associate the barcode with an existing item and search for the item you had just created and saved.

Thank you for your useful answer, I'm in some sort of twilight zone because when I scanned the barcode to start this process it actually found a match!

I have to admit that the whole scan your food thing is my favorite part of MyfitnessPal!!

When that happens, scroll to the bottom of the screen and there will be an option to "Find a Better Match," which is the second step as I posted above.
