I lost 160 pounds in 8.5 months with just restricting calories. No surgery involved. I have gained some weight last year which I plan on losing this year. My binge eating got out of control. I still know how to lose weight and I can do it again, but it's going to be harder and slower this time. I am a bit depressed about it all and lost a lot of my motivation and discipline.1

50 lbs over about 3.5 years.
Why so long? There were long stretches where I quit logging and paying attention. So I either plateaued or regained. When I'm doing the rights things 6 or 7 days a week, I lose. ~10 more to go and I will be maintaining. Target time: April/May.1 -
