Those random people at the gym.......a positive thing

So I am a chatter in general. At the gym I randomly talk to people and its almost positive. There was that one guy that told me after I asked where the smaller dumbells were, "the little ***** weights are over there" to which I replied "I knew you would know, thanks!" Haa ha feelsgoodman.jpg

But recently and quite often, there have been some great people at the gym. People I see almost every time. They always have a good word to say or an encouragement to give. yesterday while doing an hour class of rowing/crossfit, 6 different random people came up and said something positive to me. Its just always great to hear from them and that they seem truly glad to see me there working hard. I also try to do the same to others.

Anyways, among all the negative based threads I have seen lately I figured I would toss this out there as something to smile about.

So if you see that random guy that looks lke he is working hard but severaly out of shape, take a second and offer a word of encouragement, not so much advice cause us large people hear advice ALLLLL day long. But a good job, or keep it up, or 1 more!

When I'm not out of town for work, I have a schedule at the gym I usually stick to. I love recognizing the people who have the same schedule of me. It's like a little club, a secret little club I didn't start or invite anyone to or tell anyone about and it's only in my head but you know, I still feel like we're all on the same team. *cough* anyway.

One of the people who is there every Tuesday and Thursday is a guy with Downs Syndrome. He runs on the treadmill with a friend and his smile is huge. He has a blast running. He loves it and laughs and enjoys the crap out of it. He makes me happy. He reminds me that working out doesn't have to suck. it can be fun. It can be something to look forward to. His workout makes my workout better.
