I need some references on a good sugar substitute, something other than sweet n low, equal, stevia, and truvia. I know I'm leaving several out that are out there, but I have tried them already and don't care for any of them.

You are making it more difficult than it has to be.
You can use sugar in moderate amounts.
You're not supposed to go very low calorie.
You not supposed to eat a lot of added sugar.
To get in all the nutrition you need, you'll want to eat a wide variety of foods, and most of them don't need sweetening.3 -
are you using them to make candy or what is the general use for? some I can think of are also sugar alcohols: Novel sweeteners
Aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet) Hydrogenated starch hydrolysate Tagatose (Naturlose)
Neotame Isomalt Trehalose
Saccharin (SugarTwin, Sweet'N Low) Lactitol
Sucralose (Splenda) Maltito0 -
Oh i tried so many versions of stevia before i found one that i liked. I spent way too much money on them and was so disappointed. I found out that most stevia in the grocery store is cut with additives and sugar alcohol that gives it a very nasty aftertaste. Once i found the Nunaturals or Herbal select brands, life changed. What you have to look for is PURE stevia powder with nothing else added. I use it to sweeten my coffee, plain greek yogurt, no aftertaste at all. Allowed me to find a lot of success because it causes NO CRAVINGS at all. Give one of those brands a try.1

I'm wanting a sweetener mainly for coffee in the morning. I don't want my coffee to be 160 calories because I add 2tbs of sugar to it.0
