Is there a pattern?

So I am doing the Gold's Gym 12 Week Lose-Weight-A-Thon 'again', and I have three historical sets of data from 2013 and 2015 and 2016 (pre-surgery). I jot down daily weight and compare daily and weekly up and down in weight (just my 'more healthy' obsession.....).

Do any of you, when tracking your weight daily or weekly, consistently see a pattern in big weight loss, weight gain, plateau, etc??? Is there a general 'weight loss pattern' that one can expect?

I know that week one is a big loss in weight from losing all the trash that built up. After that, I seemed to track in a parallel way weeks where I lost more, plateaued, or gained some on each journey.

This just may be my body type an how I do it. But it may be part of a pattern that I am not aware of that I could not find Googling this subject. Thanks.

What I DID find, was that in each weight loss period, when I took out the first weeks weight loss, MFP was DAMN accurate on formula when I said in my 'goals' that I wanted to lose 2 pounds or 1 pound a week. But that was taking 6-12 weeks as a whole and then taking a weekly average. It was not consistent on a weekly basis, but over time, MFP was SPOT ON, again, if I removed that first weeks 'trash loss'.

Yes, if you read very many threads on MFP you will quickly learn that weight fluctuations are normal. By tracking your weight daily in an app like Happy Scale or Libra, it's easy to see what your personal patterns are and you learn when to expect them.

Thanks lorr! I am kind of 'app'd out' but might look at those one day. For now I have a mechanical pencil, a ruler, and a legal pad and am doing it old school. If the internet ever 'poof's' and all the clouds 'float away', I will have my legal pad of info. I wish I had a 'Big Chief Indian Tablet'.....that might not mean much to most the the 'MFP'ers' here...

One interesting thing was seeing that in all three different years of losing and tracking, on the day AFTER my weekly weight, my weight was up the next day 17 times, and was down the next day only 3 times. LOL. I guess I was really working it the afternoon and night before each 7th day weight. Going to try and not worry about that this time. It will probably help keep me more regular (so to speak)...
