New years

So for New Year's Eve I was doing really good with my calories all day but ended up going over. (Probably by about 800-900 calories) I was only 300-400 over my maintenance and I've been doing really good the rest of this week since I started again but I can't seem to shake feeling like crap about going over. Does this anyone else feel like this? Will it really affect my progress a lot?

Nope. In the grand scheme of things, if your estimates are accurate and you were 300-400 cals over maintenance then that is about 1/10 of a pound potential gain...(3500 cals over maintenance equals 1 lb of fat gain as a general rule). Its also pretty easy to adjust for over the next few days by taking 100 cals off each day to offset the overage.
It's the long term trend over time that is important, not what happens on one individual day. Take a deep breath, drink lots of water (often overages result in temporary water weight gain) and get back on track.
