want better? do better.17 -
I was the same way. This time is different, because I've educated myself. Read the stickied posts at the top of the weight loss section, and visit the forums often. Learn about proper calorie intake, how weight loss is not linear. Be patient and realize that there will be ups and downs along the way. Mfp provides a supportive network of those who have found success and aren't afraid to call BS when they see it. You can do this!3

@callsitlikeiseeit "want better? Do better". Can't explain it but those simple four words resonated. Like the OP, here I am again - for a variety of reasons (stress, injury). Whatever those reasons were/are, I could have "done better" and made better choices. Thanks!! Could use more cold water in the face!3

i may not give advice in the most delicate, politically correct way, but it is effective6 -
144 sounds pretty good to me. That was my low weight in 2016, bounced back up to 150. Hope to hit it again by summer.0

I did that for 13 years. Then last January I got down to it and today I rang in the new year 50 lbs. down. You need to start somewhere. Start today.2
