Tough Day, Help Please!

Feeling low today in the motivation dept. I got up and decided that I was going to take the day off from reporting and just eat all the little sweet snacks that I like to overindulge on. Then when I was getting dressed and my shorts were tight and hard to do up, I changed my mind and decided to come and log it all in. Now I have about 400 calories left for the day, and I haven't had lunch or dinner! I feel like a major idiot & loser. I am going to have to stop keeping these no-no foods around the house, I seem to have a few OK days ina row where I can control how much I eat, then, another day I lose all control, focus, and motivation. This is where I always get stuck in my weight loss journeys (there have been many attempts,) and I end up going NOWHERE. I need help staying the course! Thank you all for being out there and present when needed. :flowerforyou:

First off don't beat yourself up..we all have our cravings and our weakness.. Now do you like tuna fish? If so you can eat a can of tuna in water for lunch with some lemon jucie on it. it is only 50 calories and still have enough calories left for dinner. Then you can have some bake chicken and a veggie for dinner and stay within your calorie intake for the day. I hope this helps. good luck.0

My whole weekend has been overindulging. I sure hear about being able to be goood for a couple of days and then I just lose it, and I'm back to my ways. I log in all my calories and try not to beat myself up about it and believe that eventually I'll have alot more good days before I fall off the wagon. It took me years to get where I am today, so I know that my journey won't be over in a matter of months, it a long process, but rewarding every step of the way!0

Thank you for the food suggestions, because I do like and have tuna and lemon in the house, although I am not sure I would be able to eat the whole tin, but I will try to eat as much as I can. Your chicken suggestion is good too...and I have chicken breasts in the freezer...no fresh veggies, but I do have canned. Thank you so much! These are also very good suggestions for me, as I have been falling short on the protein every day, and over on the carbs and sometimes calories. I have been on here less than a week and am looking forward to when the cravings for the sweet junk foods lessens, or, hopefully goes away. You are heaven-sent and I am glad I logged on here, otherwise, I'd probably be on my next box of Thinsations! You rock! xoTanya0

Alexia, you are right, there are going to be more good days than bad days, and I thank you for reminding me of this. I just want them all to be good, and I want the weight to be off right now too! LOL!0

I am so with you in your troubles! I have made many attempts at losing my weight, and i often fall off the wagon when it comes to controlling what i eat. That said, i have been discovering lots of good things to eat that keep me full, and are healthy. As a side at dinner try a grain mixed with a legume! It's got lots of filling protein, and tastes good! Yesterday i made whole wheat cous cous with black beans, cumin and zuccini mixed in. Yum! Rice and beans is common too. Also, i know you said you don't have any fresh veggies, but remember when you are shopping that you can make yourself a HUGE salad for very few calories. Add your tuna and maybe a hard boiled egg and you're in business! Also, when you get those sweets cravings try downing a glass of water before you eat, often when you think you're hungry your body actually wants water! Hope this helps, stay strong! Think of the awesome healthy body you'll have as a reward for sticking with it!!!0
