Hello,
How long did it take you guys to see a difference in your arms? How often and how long and about how many repetitions did you have to do? did it take as long as you guys thought it would? What kind of exercises did you perform?
I'm trying to tone my under arms.

The leaner you get, the more the muscle will show. I did DVDs like 30 day shred, ripped in 30, body boot camp, etc and then added machines like bench, shoulder press, PEC fly, bicep and tricep press down--all while losing weight. Then I learned about lifting free weights and started with power lifting. From there, I moved on to Stronglifts 5x5. How long it takes depends on how much fat you need to lose, how much muscle and strength you already have, etc...

What sort of difference are you talking about?
Increased strength? More muscle? More definition?

I find Strength increases are smaller than with the bigger muscle groups - I push myself by doing as many as I can at the next weight up, then drop back to the previous weight for the rest of the set. Eventually I can do the higher weight for the whole exercise.

Muscle gains are also slow... Especially as a girl...

More definition is from losing fat, bring in a calorie deficit. The fat around my triceps likes to hang around for ages and is one of the last things to go!

Fatloss via calorie deficit resulted in the biggest physical changes for me, before I even started strength training.
Find a good full body program (not just arms), follow it, track your calories accurately.

Underarms is usually a matter of fat loss, not toning. To work that area you need lots of triceps, but it is bad idea to try and work only one small muscle group.
