Just wondering if there were any other Silver Sneakers members here.

Just switched from Blue Shield to United Healthcare (UHC) Medicare Advantage which offers it and just signed up a local gym -- In Shape. Pretty good facility, which includes the typical cardio and lifting equipment (machines and free weights) plus a 3 lane pool, a couple of spas, a dry sauna and a steam room. Normal cost is $40/mo but everything is paid for by insurance as long as I'm enrolled w/UHC.

I've already got all the weight lifting and cardio equipment I need at home and really signed up just to use the spas, sauna and steam room but they have a wall ball and "crossfit" area that I may use as well.

Pretty good deal. If you're Medicare eligible and not a member of this or a similar program, you should check w/your medical insurance carrier to see if you can get it.

One of the benefits of old age. LOL!!! ;)
