How does people stay so dedicated make sure they log in their foods?

I have noticed some people been on here for years but yet have not given up login in their foods.

I wish I can do the same

It becomes routine after a while. Unless there's a cure for type 1 diabetes, I will need to carefully track carbs for the rest of my life. Myfitnesspal's database is the most comprehensive one I've found (even when there's accuracy issues), so it's a no-brainer that I use it to make life easier for me.

I've been consistently logging for a bit over three years, and my current streak is about 900 days.

As other said, it really does just become a daily habit. In the past when I logged everyday, it just came naturally - as soon as I had a meal prepared, I tracked the calories in my diet. It gets easier. :)

I saw an inspirational video on facebook the other day. Stop"trying" and start doing. :)

I've been keeping track of every single kilometre I've cycled since April 29, 1990.

Logging food isn't much of a stretch. :) That said, I haven't been logging food particularly regularly in a while because I'm maintaining, and my focus is more on training for cycling events than on the details of what I eat. However, I will likely log regularly again for a month or two starting next week.

After a while it becomes a habit just like brushing your teeth...

    Habit is my answer too.

That said, I try to do it when I have the most time, prelogging as much as possible. That's easy since I eat mostly the same every day, one of 5 possible breakfasts, maybe 2 possible lunches unless I have leftovers. Snacks are relatively the same. Usually I have to do small adjustments throughout the day, weights mostly.

Like I'll log my breakfast of 2 eggs (which is a recipe I adjust as needed), 1 egg white, 2 slices precooked bacon. I logged that last night. This morning I just needed to update the weights of my eggs/whites and bacon to what I had this morning. Changed my calories by about 40 or so.

Currently I have everything except for dinner, which I haven't decided on, logged. I have to add a mini babybel I just had and I'll have to adjust weights for my lunch later but otherwise I'm done.

    Habit, you just do it.

I get my coffee, log my coffee. Boom.

Over Thanksgiving I missed a day and lost my 340 day streak. My husband thought I had hurt myself when I logged in and saw a "1".

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo.......

I've been doing this whole thing for a few years now and I've gone through stages of tracking/not tracking my calorie intake. Shockingly-when I'm not tracking I start gaining weight again :p So I try and track my calorie intake in some form-sometimes it's a piece of paper on my kitchen counter or here on MFP (I keep things simple though and just use the 'quick calorie' entry option). I've come to the realization that I'll be tracking calories for the rest of my life because it really does work!
