Progress measurement?

I think we agree that weighing yourself is not good enough, especially if you're planning to build muscle too. So what's the best measurement? I assume it will have to do with the body fat percentage, but are any accurate devices out there for personal use? (preferably that don't cost a fortune)
Thanks a lot!

    Nope.

    Tape measure and a mirror.

tape measure. i do it every month or so.

photos are also a great tool but because of the minute differences, i do that only every 2 or 3 months so the difference is easy to see. even if you dont see it in a mirror, you tend to see it in photos.

I tend to agree that a mirror and tape measure are good for this.

Yea I use the scale, tape measure, mirror and progress photos. Also if your lifts are going up and you are eating at surplus/maintenance that is usually a good indication you are gaining muscle (not always.. but it is a good sign).
