My name is Lisa. I've been tracking on MFP for several years, but always privately. I want to put myself out there because I started my diet yesterday and want to use every resource I can to be successful this time around. Here is a little about me: I'm from Austin, Texas; 55 years young; and want to lose about 35 lbs. I have a sedentary full-time job, so as of yesterday I'm getting to work a little early and doing a "Home Workout Plan" in my office that I found on Pintrest for 15 minutes before I start working. I can literally do all of these exercises in my little office and it really gets my heart beating!! I also plan to walk my dog Samson (because he could lose a few too!) every evening to make sure I hit 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. Austin has a lot of hills, so it's a good workout. I'm drinking lots of water and following a low carb diet from the 80's called the Scarsdale Diet because in the past, it has worked best for me and the weight stays off, at least until drink too much wine again! = ) I like this diet because it says to eat until you are full. I hate diets that tell me to eat 1/2 cup of this or that, and then I'm still hungry. Also, I can eat clean on this diet and control my sodium and processed foods. Anyway, I am VERY determined and can't wait to see my body change! I get a lot of encouragement reading other peoples success stories, so I'd love to read about your journey too.

I read a really cool and encouraging quote yesterday. It said: "In 2 weeks you will feel it; in 4 weeks you will see it; in 8 weeks you will hear it" I loved that!!!! If you have any encouraging quotes, I'd love for you to post them!
