I started on this site January 12th 2011. While looking at myself at the start of a new year I didn't like what I saw. I was in a bad marriage with four kids and felt trapped, like my life was out of control. With the help of MFP I realized there was one thing I could control-what I ate and how I exercised. Over the course of a year I went from 160 to 120 pounds and kept it off for two years.
I divorced my husband and soon after my mom died. Constant struggles with my ex and stress over life in general gave me an excuse to go back to my old ways. Now I find myself at the beginning of 2017 almost back to 160. So I am back. I know from past success that having active friends is a key to success. I had a group of people that looked for me to be on here each day and I looked for them. We cheered each other successes and held each other up when we stumbled (you noticed I didn't say failed!).
So whether you're new to MFP or have been on for years, if you're looking for a friend to encourage you and hold you accountable and are willing to do the same, please ADD ME!!!!

I am so sorry!!! My heart breaks for you about your mom. My mom passed away when I was a baby. That crushes me so I can't imagine how crushed I would be if I had a relationship with her for my whole life. So sorry... anyways I am also hopping back on the wagon after taking time off from my goals. Life gets in the way sometimes... feel free to add me if you'd like a friend to talk to along the way0

I lost 55 pounds last year using MFP and am back actively logging once again after gaining 10 pounds back. I hadn't strayed too far but I wasn't doing very well at maintaining my weight loss. I am back and want to lose another 25 pounds. Let's be friends and do it together!0

I'd love to be friends! I've gone from 120 to 160 in the past 3.5 years of marriage. It's been rough and I eat when I'm upset. I've yo-yo dieted, but I'm determined to make it work this time!0
