Hi! I'm new here too!0

Congrats to you for making a choice to feel better. I made it a habit to be on this website at least 15 minutes a day and see what others are doing to lose weight. I had cancer and now past that but battled cancer with chemo and that caused major weight gain. I'm happy to be finally done with that! In two weeks, I've lost 13 lbs now and it's awesome to receive the encouragement from here. I have the app on my iPhone and track everything I eat and drink all day plus you can track your exercise by seeing how many calories you burned for that day! Welcome and good luck to you on your weight loss journey!!0

I literally joined 15 minutes ago, after reading on my friend's blog that she lost 60 lbs using myfitnesspal.
I know I could do that too, but sometimes it just seems easier to do nothing and complain about my weight.
(No one said life was easy, though).0 -
I'm new here too. I just started this website today. My daughter, who lives in Chicago and just had her 3rd baby 2 months ago, sent me in invitation to join. I just had an arteriogram on Friday and thankfully, I didn't have any blockages. The doctor gave me a medication to regulate my heartbeat. He also told me to exercise and imperative that I lose weight. That in itself is very difficult for me at 53 and going through menopause. But I have to do it and with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and now some heart problem, it gives me more motivation than I've had in the past. This is a good tool to use and I hope I make some friends to help keep me motivated. Everyone, please wish me luck!0

How I motivate myself...
Look at old pictures when you looked good!
Go without a shirt or clothes when nobody is around, look at yourself often...
Grab your fat and squeeze, feel it look at it, its not real attractive.
Gather your meds in one place and read them all, look up the side effects...
Look at your kids, look at your fine friends, look in the mirror...
Then take one meal at a time, one day at a time, do not cheat!
Exercise, start slow...0 -
