I discovered this the other night because my kids HATE eating vegetables and I was looking for a good low cal substitute for cauliflower.
Directions:
1: Make mashed potatoes as normal.
2: Let cool.
3: Shape like little cauliflower.
Et voila! Cauliflower mashed potatoes! They look just like cauliflower but taste good!

Lolololol. Stop the food substituting people. If you want cauliflower, just eat some cauliflower. Jeeze. Just use portion control and make it fit your macros.
I make room for 3 florets of REAL cauliflower every day.0 -

HEYLISTEN I was just trying to help people if you dont like the taste of mashed potatoes you can just move ON without commenting you dont need to be RUDE. YOU can eat whatever you want but I'M making a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. We're all on different journies.0 -
I don't understand why people have to be so rude. I did a search and found 5000 threads about bullying, and that's just from this month.
Your recipe sounds lovely to me, OP. :flowerforyou:0 -
mashed cauliflower is amazing, almost as good as smashed peas.

The ones I like most take a minute or two.0 -
But I don't like potatoes either... Can I just carve a block of cheese in the shape of a cauliflower?0

As long as it's along the lines of a swiss or a provolone in color. The havartis and cheddars are not suited to this. You may be able to possibly soak those varieties in bleach and approximate the right color, with the pleasant result of them tasting more like cauliflower afterward.0 -
Do you sell cauliflower cut outs because ain't nobody got time for carving0

I would carve my own cauliflower if I were you. If someone else carves it for you, and packages it, it turns into processed cauliflower. Then you won't get the benefits of eating clean.0 -
Very nice. Do you have any recipes for making pork look like tofu? I think the veg and vegan fitness pals would like that muchly.0
