Hello! My name is Alexandra and I'm somewhat new to this site. I decided to join because I'm taking my goal to lose weight very serious and I'm trying my hardest to live a healthier lifestyle not only for my sake but for the sake of my children and those whom I love dearly. I can say that I was blessed with a good metabolism; although, it's slowed down some, but my eating habits have been horrible. My bad eating habits have led me to depression, anxiety, and tremendous lack of energy. In 2011 I decided that I would take better care of myself to just be a better person, the person God intended me to be. My eating habits have changed tremendously and my quality of life has gone up. Of course I have my moments when I say "screw this!" and eat like there's no tomorrow but then I come to my senses and kick myself in the but cheeks and try to get back on track (getting back on track is not very easy).
Right now I'm on a mission to lose first 8 pounds, then 5 to reach my desired or ideal weight of 125. I haven't been 125 in about 10 years but I can do it! I will do it!
Anyways, I'm enjoying this site. I like reading through the message board. Very interesting. Keep it up, peeps!

Alexandra, I can't believe no one responded to you. With that said, I just passed 8 pounds lost on MFP, and a total of 23 since starting on this weight loss program at the end of spring. I have a daughter, so I understand your desire to be the best you can. With that said, I will send you a friend request. Feel free to accept it. Either way, good luck on your journey, we all have our ups and downs (or as you say, "screw this", but as long as we keep moving forward, at that pace that works for each of us we will be successful. Be aware if you accept my FR, I am not the most serious person out here, I like to have fun while I work to motivate and be motivated. So if you don't have a good sense of humor "screw this"...ok, there I go...good luck!0

Welcome!! If I did my calculations right, we're at the same starting weight (138lbs?). 125 is my goal but I've only been able to make it down to 134 But, I'm chugging along, focusing more on working out. My clothes are fitting looser so something I'm doing is right, even though the scale won't budge!

I feel what you said about being there for your kids. I feel the same way. And also, I want to be what I was intended to be too!0

Thank you all for the welcome and the friend requests! I'm looking forward to interacting with you and following your progress. @tabfjo, yeah we're at the same starting weight (138). My ultimate goal is 125 but I've broken in it up into 2 goals. 1st goal is 130 and 2nd goal is 125. I do better with short term goals . Good luck to you as well! We can do this!
@JamesEricLivi, good luck on your journey!
@FriscoChet thanks for being the first to response. Good luck on your journey!0
