I do HIIT once or twice per week. My weight workouts are 5 times per week. But when i do HIIT, i utilize battle ropes, my jump rope, kettle bells, medicine ball, and weighted step box (to use as a weighted sled). I am 40 seconds as hard as i can go, 20 seconds off. I do three to four sets. Here's my routine...

    1) Jump rope for 1 minute to warm up.
    2) one arm kettle bell swings/grabs.
    3) push the weighted box (sled) 30 yards
    4) Medicine ball slams
    5) Battle Ropes
    6) Two hand Kettle Bell swings, between the legs
    7) Jump rope

I also change it up so I don't get board. The purpose is to keep my heart rate elevated, so that leaves a lot of options to get creative.

    Hope this helps!

Ride a bike up a hill at 105 % FTP. Coast back down. Rinse and repeat.

This is my current HIIT/circuit, like the poster above I do it once or twice a week. It's a bit of bodyweight and then legs and butt focused with some weighted moves. 3 times around it is about 40-45 mins depending on breaks, or you could just do it once at higher intensity.

Do routines like 30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30 count? I also like The Firm Express workouts with 8 sec. mini bursts.

I really like barbell complexes cause there's little transition as your hands don't leave the barbell. My fav:

    Romanian deadlift
    Clean
    Front squat
    Row
    Overhead press
    Back squat
Then, I'll tack on dips, KB swings, and burpees, though it makes it kinda long and not technically a barbell complex. I like to do it in ladder format. i.e. 4 reps of everything without stopping, take a break, 5 reps of everything....etc etc Haven't gotten past 8. I only use the empty bar.

Here is my HIIT routine. I've made it through just twice.
