Hesitantly . . . seeking active friends

I have trouble asking for anything. Not that I do not enjoy interaction (or receiving anything). But, I hesitate to "impose" on anyone. Add to that the fact that I once joined MFP many months (perhaps years) ago, but was never regular. So, this time around, I decided I would wait to introduce myself (or be active on the Forum) until I had at least over one month of continuous MFP log ins and/or I had shed the 30 lbs. that I had set out to do. Well, I guess I am a tad impatient -- I have logged in 27 days in a row and have lost 29.1 lbs.

Also, I am unusual in the sense that I rarely see anyone my age who is a novice. I am a small-built, 57-year old male, who was desperately "skinny fat " to begin with. Happily, with dedicated effort between February and June, I think I have shed enough fat from my paunch to be able to say, I have visible abs now. But, my journey has only begun. It has been an interesting trip so far.

I'd really be happy to befriend anyone who would care to be a friend -- young or old. But, if I can provide some encouragement and virtual companionship to someone near my age, that would be an added benefit.

If you care to see my photos from February and June, here is a link (I hope that is acceptable as per Forum rules):

Now, I hope to hear from at least a few of you.

Have a good evening, everyone!

Hello....I am brand new to this site. :)
  • Feel free to friend me if you would like. This is my second time around on this site also. I lost weight, gained it back, and now I'm wanting to do again, this time sticking around to maintain!

sent you a friend request. I'm on daily and track everything so anyone can add me if they want. Having active friends helps keep one motivated to do something daily as well as it's good to hear and see about sucess when your own progress might be slow. Good luck to all. v/r Rico

Thank you, all. I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised by the sudden increase in the number of friends I have . . .

If you haven't added me, please feel free to check my profile (it is open), and feel free to send me a friend request.
