Weight scale

Not sure if this was the best place to post this.
So this is refwrence to weighing yourself. I've had the same scale for awhile and it seems to be pretty accurate. I know that there is room for error like +1/-1 a pound or so.
I weighed myself yesterday and it showed me the same weight twice. Then I weigh myself again today and first it shows 1.4 pounds less. I weigh again and it goes up .4 lbs. I did it again then I got one weight that would be 1 pound less than yesterday. I do it again and it shows the same weight again. Is it really possible to see that difference in a day?
I mean obviously is be happy about it but it seems too good to be true!

It is possible, but it is also possible to see it back up tomorrow. One pound could only be the difference of one pint/2 cups of water in your system. Could be a difference in sodium intake, could be weighing at a different time of day, or could be a lot of other reasons.
What matters is trending - does it continue to go down or stay down, or does it just bounce back.1 -
I hate my scales, I gained 1.5kgs Christmas Day! Took me a few days to get back again.
I could tell you as I've been told - weigh once a week. But then you miss the excitement of seeing the micro improvements right?0 -
Yeah your weight changes a lot. Through the day and day to day. Food, water, salt, a lot of things influence your current weight. To track, you should weight once a day. Best time is when you first get up so it's consistent. Then take the average for the week and compare week to week.
