We all have setbacks

We all have set backs. What was your most recent setback and what have you done/will do about it?
Me, I sprained my ankle pretty gnarly. I plan on staying determined, focusing on my diet and looking for exercises I can do.

The holidays!
I went to Hong Kong the week of Halloween, came home and Thanksgiving gatherings had already started. Then Christmas gatherings, then New Years gathering.. almost every single weekend for all of November and all of December. UGH!
Did my best to maintain (gained 8 pounds back)
Started fresh this week, already down 3 pounds and going strong!
We can do this, just got to have the right mind set.
Good luck to you!

Yeah, the holidays got me too. I found myself eating things and not logging them. Watching the scale slowly climb up though shocked me back into reason and good sense1

I got scared. Last year I finally saw 156lbs from 238lbs. I was starting to see my ribs and that scared me. I know that sounds stupid but I've never seen my ribs before and I panicked, thinking about maintenance. I only know how to lose (and gain) weight and I guess I'm more comfortable keeping with what I'm doing.
Needless to say I gained about 20lbs back but this year I'm going to try again, but have periods of maintenance to make sure I can do it.1 -
Mine is a current work project that is very stressful and with lots of overtime hours. I'm working 14-18 hours per day of intense mental effort. By the end of the day I'm exhausted and all I want to do is unwind and browse the internet. My nutrition is not on point and I'm not doing any exercise. What am I going to do about it? Nothing. I'm going to wait it out. I don't want to add to my current stress. It's only one week so I doubt I will be doing much damage. Plus side (or minus side): I'm skipping a couple of social events this week due to work, so I don't need to plan calories for them.1

I have the worst late night cravings. I'll stay well under my calorie goal all day but once the kiddos are sleeping all I can think about are their lunch snacks in the pantry
last night I gave in and ate a big bowl of cereal. Instead of feeling immensely guilty about it, I punched it into my diary and checked my weekly report and it did not "ruin my diet" I'm still about where I should be for the week. I weighed myself and didn't gain (awesome) unlike previous binges where I could pack on a pound or three in one night! So yay. Planning on staying under my goal today and kicking up the exercises just a bit.
