Down 22lb since October - mindset change

Options
Hello and Happy New Year. I've been on MFP a while and have found it to be a great resource.

Curious to find out how long it took for people to gain a real acceptance of the speed of the fat lost process and reach the point that you knew you would carry on. I knew realistically 2lb a week would be a good aim but at the start still had crazy ideas that it would be so much quicker e.g. by now I'd have lost around 4 st/56lb.

Now I've come to appreciate each 1lb loss. Its a mental adjustement which has taken a few months but so glad I got to this point and so happy to be 22lb down. Feel so much better and healthier and actually enjoying food so much more.

Welcome to the community boards and glad you're enjoying MFP. :)

I think the most important thing is to keep going and don't give up. We can always reset goals and expectations but the key is to keep moving forward and stop looking back at places we think we've failed. It took me several months to adjust my expectations.
