So starting back at work and I am going to have to try and plan ahead. Looking for lunch ideas. Some days I am in the office so can prep food there but other days I am on the road and need to take my lunch with me. I need to try and stay away from bread I think. So far the ideas I have are cucumbers and pate, hummus and baby carrots, fruit, fruit salad, but that is as far as I have got. Any other ideas.

A wrap in place of a sandwich, a protein shake, protein bar, leftovers from the previous night's dinner on days you have access to a microwave, salad with a protein on top.0

I make extra dinner and take the leftovers with me to work. It saves me having to think about an extra meal because I already made it and I already know it's a healthy option. I add fruit and veggies for snacks though because I don't get off work until 6pm so I'll need a little something to keep me going. But my office is 20 feet from a microwave, if your on the road that might not be helpful.0

Thanks for the ideas. I have prepared my lunch for tomorrow and my lunch box is filled with fresh fruits and veges. Hope its enough and hope no one brings a welcome back to work cake in to tempt me.1

I like to bring homemade sushi! I roll it up the night before and pack intybe morning. I lime to eat things that don't require me touching them, like wraps (then wrapped in reusable paper or cloth). I also like to takes soups in my thermos.1

Not sure what your full meal plan is for the day, but I'd suggest having a good a balance of protein, carbs, and fat to help keep you full if you don't have it in the mix. Makes it a little easier to resist the snacks when your tummy is happy. Best of luck!!

I am considering making vegetarian meals to take to work. I need something light as I work overnights and big meals that include meat and higher amounts of carbs affect my sleep. I also need to work on my portion control with carbs. We have reintroduced rice, bread and potatoes and are working on finding just the right serving of those carbs that had been on our "naughty list" without overdoing them. I find that taking vegetarian meals that can be eaten both warm and cold make it convenient if you are out on the road and keeps you satisfied.0
