Measure yourself. That is the best way to measure weight loss.
    - sodium, or TOM, or new better muscles could make your weight fluctuate, so measuring is the best way.

    1. Control sodium
    2. Drink lots of water, plain de-caf teas, etc.
    3. Contol fats (keep Saturated fats at about 10g or less per day--doable?) The healthy fats can be 30%, or less, of your calories (the goals page will figure it out for you.) I keep my fat calories at 20% of my calories.
    4. Eat whole grains and fruits and veggies. Try to stay away from processed foods.
    5. Limit meat protiens to the lean ones and consume plant and dairy (fat-free) protiens.

Have fun when you are exercising. Borrow a child and play tag or some chase-me game for 15 minutes or more, at a time.
Get a dance video and swing those hips! ;)
Laugh, have your friends send you jokes, watch anyone laughing--you can't help but to laugh with them.
Life is fabulous, when looked at in the right frame of mind. I choose to live in my "child" mind a lot! ;)

    Hugs :drinker: (water)

How often are you weighing yourself? Are you weighing yourself in the same spot with the same clothes on or off at the same time every time? Are you drinking water and exercising consistently?

I'm the same at the moment, but then I went up a bit too much and I've had to get my butt in gear. It was hard though, you loose that determination. You become a bit disheartened.
My advice is try not to become too disheartened over it. Watch a few motivation videos, like the weight loss ones on youtube - always works for me.

Set yourself a few exercise routines for the week, and make sure you stick to it. Go on an extra long walk with the dog, speed walk when y ou pick up kids from school, walk to work or part way to work etc etc etc. Just increase things little by little.

Weigh yourself once a week or fortnight, do it in the morning after using the toilet and wear underwear, naked or something light which would be wise to wear everytime you weigh yourself.
Dont weigh yourself on a carpet either.

I hope something in what I have wrote, will help you x

I always took the lowest number and kept it on my ticker. My thought process was I KNOW I ate in deficit for the week and did not heat an addl 3500 to put on a pound of fat...............so it must be the miraculous ways of the body making me flucuate.

Yesterday I ate at calorie goal (I am on maintence due to recovering from surgery) and what I thought to be good foods. When I logged it all my sodium was over 40000mg!!! I guess the hormone free range chicken at Panera still needs loads of salt to make it taste good !

Also, I found when I worked out hard with a trainer for 2 weeks I GAINED 2 pounds :noway: but I had taken before and after pictures and wow, I was def slimmer-tighter.

Use a tape measure or your tight jeans! They are much better 'scales' than the one on the floor.

OH yeah............and only weigh on one scale, at the same time of day each week!

    Have fun on your vacation!:glasses:
