Hi!!
I used to be able to run 4 miles last summer and swim and now even get up from bed is too much work haha. How do I get back to exercising without overwhelming myself and giving up? I've gained 30 lbs last semester of college (freshman30 haha) and I'm ready to change my lifestyle.

if you used to run - why not try something like C25K - its about 30min a way, alternating walking running - so like week1 day 1 - might be walk 5min, run 30 sec (I'm making this up) - but similar
and then throw in a couple of days of weights - I use free online videos (fitness blender) - all you need is a set of dumbbells2 -

Look for something where you can go at your own pace.
I'm old. I hadn't exercised for decades. I started with a piddly exercise goal of 60 minutes per week. I used a spreadsheet to track my minutes (you can use a calendar...anything to be accountable). I used 10 Minute Solutions DVDs, but there are a ton of short workouts on YouTube. Then when I was comforable, I upped my goal, and then upped it again.
Couch to 5K is a program lots of people enjoy
Walk At Home videos (check YouTube).....no choreography so you can "run at home" or bump these up however you need to. I like using a rebounder.....it's like low impact running.0 -
I highly suggest Zombies Run couch to 5k training1
