So I painted my cabinets . . .

And I really worked up a sweat. It took me about 2 hours. I put it as vigorous housework. Does that sound right? I don't usually log housework, but with all the painting and taking off and putting the drawers back on I figured that it would count. Opinions?

When I have stuff like that (or, like, walking all over town for the afternoon, quickly) I usually just add 100-200 calories manually. It's hard to tell for sure unless you're wearing a monitor but it definitely counts for something!

I think it should be, along with tasks such as mowing the lawn and washing the car etc (as long as you're scrubbing and not just stood with a hose).

These things obviously aren't enough exercise on their on, in my opinion, however all the little things do add up :)

I sometimes work part-time as a painter and decorator. I have a Polar HRM and I've worn it (on VOC function) to see how many calories I burn. I then err on the conservative side! I put 150 calories per hour as the extra burn from this activity. MFP database estimates for exercise are pretty accurate for me, so if they seem about right to you as well then you could use my results as a guide.
