Looking for some motivational friends and nutritional advice.

I am a 47 year old male that is new to getting back into shape. I am a man who is 6 foot 6 so that is another concern of how much do I eat? I am looking to change my diet and get back into shape I have had years of bad eating habits and looking for some advice on how to start out I am drinking more water but I need to know about what types of food to keep my energy up. The other thing is that I work third shift and I am worried about my eating habits while working. I need some advice and help

I suggest you look up meal planning; it's helped a lot with my busy schedule. Make all the food you're planning on eating throughout the week on Sunday and just pack everything up the night before. There are a lot of great recipes to make in crock pots that will last through your the week, replace your grains with barley or wheat berries (it's cheap and much healthier and has fewer calories then most other grains. Look up on YouTube "Alton brown, barley recipe and you can see how to cook it, two batches is enough for me and my boyfriend to last all week), try eating spaghetti squash (again, cost effective, easy, and you can add sauces to it to make it yummy. I make a cilantro/green onion/garlic/lemon sauce with a little water in the blender), make sure to eat breakfast! I just make hard boiled eggs and wheat germ muffins and eat that with green tea with added grass fed gelatin (the wheat keeps you full until lunch), and don't limit your snacks! Just make sure they're healthy. My biggest problem is that vending machines are everywhere and if I'm hungry and have nothing a cave (and spend the money) on sugar laden junk. I always make sure to have veggies with yogurt sauce, extra muffins, or homemade peanut butter bars with me in case. For recipes you can follow me on intagram at karguez13. Hope that helps0
