If you think you may be contagious, don't go to the gym. Otherwise you should be fine.4

As long as it isn't at my gym.3

Thirding "not at the gym". Anywhere you might spread your germs around is a no-no. Otherwise, do what you feel up to but be careful if you're very congested, you may end up dizzy.2

I wouldn't go to the gym if I was very congested either.1

if you are contagious, please STAY AWAY FROM THE GYM2

I've had a cold for like 10 days now. I'm so sick of it. I've only worked out about 3 times of those 10 days and I felt bad after each time. I work out at home so I don't worry about germs but I had to force myself to get any motivation to do it and then my body definitely didn't feel great. Listen to your body, do a light work out and see how it goes.2

The problem is your body is already working out. Fighting a virus is pretty draining. If you force yourself to do strenuous activity you could delay getting over the cold. I wouldn't, personally.0

I've always heard that if symptoms are from the neck up, exercise is fine. If they are lower (chest) then no. It really depends on how you feel. And as others have said, don't do it in public places.0

I work out every day regardless of whether I'm ill or not. I just do a lighter workout if I feel like crap. But I don't go to a gym.0

My home is my gym so a cold wouldn't stop me....0

Thats what I go with too.... I take below the neck to also mean body aches from flu, as opposed to just a stuffy nose from a cold.0
