For me personally, Nike are one of the worst running shoes. I went to a running store when I first started and they put me in Mizuno (which I love). My running buddy was fitted with Brooks. Have you ever had a professional fitting?

Flat footedness might indicate a shin muscle weakness or a need for a more cushioned shoes.

Personally I find heavily cushioned shoes increase my risk of shin pain, but they may be more appropriate for you.

I run almost exclusively in Nike Vomero. I am also running in Nike Pegasus (less cushioned neutral shoe).

I'm not sure why the Nike hate bandwagon is so great around here but I can tell you that their top of the line running shoes are every bit as good as anyone else's. Now buy the $40 crap from your local super store and, well... You get what you pay for.

Wrong shoes are the wrong shoes, doesn't matter the brand.

People seem to get fixated on brands, rather than shoes.
