Thanks everyone, I think I'm out of that negative cloud for now. It amazes me how much encouragement comes here.

When I started with MFP, I logged meticulously and accurately and kept my calories just under my 1250 calorie limit. For 10 days I didn't lose a thing. Not one gram.

So then I figured that I'd stick with it for a total of 3 weeks, and when I hadn't lost anything in 3 weeks, I would give it up.

By 3 weeks I had lost 3 kg. It just suddenly started coming off!

So give it time. Give it a good solid 3 weeks. And stick to it absolutely during that time, carefully weighing and measuring everything you eat.

It won't happen overnight it takes time, you need patience, daily logging of everything and using a food scale digital. If you are going to quit then you won't reach your goal.
