I'm 5ft 2 and 42
I weigh 193lbs starting!!!
Currently on 1340kcals.
Up down but so had my eating the past couple of days.
I would be happy at 147 as I've got quite a set muscular body under the flab. My profession is relatively active. I'm a gardener
I've never been petite even at 9st in my 20s
Be great to hear from similar people

I'm 5'2" and 41. I started out at 230 and lost 70 pounds in about a year before joining MFP. I yo-yo between 140-150 typically. My goal is 130 because of my small frame. I'm a gardener too! I've worked at a plant nursery for over 20 years. Adding you!9

I've just finally found out how to reply! I'm a techno muppet!! Fab!!! And thanks for th add!!no way!!!!! I'm an Irish gardener in the uk.
I work in a private estate and have been professionally playing outside...I mean working for about 20years too!
I always kid that I've massive muscles under all my insulation! Yah I went back to study about ahem...12 years ago and went from 9st 9 to 14 12 in that time yoyoing between 12 12-14 12
Lost a stone in the past year and since joining MFP I've lost 8lbs! I'd be happy back at 10st as its the weight which suits me.
Great stuff!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!0 -
Hi! I'm 5'3" and 45. I went from 214 lbs to 151 in about 10 months. Then I hurt my foot and gained back 20 lbs resting. I just started back and lost five lbs the first week but gained back one lb this week. I have to start working out again but plan on doing kettlebell workouts until I get this foot seen to. I'm not a gardener though it must be fun playing outside. What a natural way to work out. No, unfortunately for me, I'm inside on my big butt behind a computer all day.6

I'm 5'4" and 49. I started in July of 2014 for real (had a few false starts here on MFP before that) and it took me about a year and a half to lose 55 pounds. I am trying to maintain in a 5 pound range and the last holiday season has me up over that a bit so I'm eating at a deficit again because if I ignore it, even though I'm not overweight, I will continue to gain and old habits will creep back in and I'll be back where I was before in no time. Started at 180 and got to 125, currently at 133.4

Hi! I'm 5'3" and 44. I started the new year at 210 and so far I'm down to 202. My initial goal is to lose 45lbs by my 45th birthday in October. Ideally, I'd like to have a final goal of 150.5

In 2012, I lost 65 lbs (started before MFP for a month). I'm 5'1" and was happy in the 145-150 range. I held that for about nine months, then my fibro caught up with me, my hip started giving out while running and sometimes walking. I gained 20+ lbs back by January 2015 when I was diagnosed with disc issues which left me unable to lift my right arm to do my work in the gym. I turned 50 in October, while active working a full time job, a part time job and never really stopping, I've gained back 62 of the 65 I lost. I've just donated my small clothes to the VA and kind of given up now that I also have rotator cuff issues. My weight struggle will never end. I've been logging on here faithfully since the beginning of 2012, despite having gained all this gross stuff back. I can't even describe how much I miss my exercising1

I'm sorry. Just wanted to tell you that I can relate to that feeling of frustration of not being able to exercise. I too have a hip problem, shoulder issues, AND fibro. I have days where I feel so incredibly frustrated that the only thing I can control is what I eat and can't burn it off the way I'd like. Hang in there! I'm just starting out.... (again... I tend to start out well and lose motivation a month in. Trying hard to stick with it this time. )1 -
I am 5"3" and 41 years old.
I started my journey on 9/10/16 at 242 lbs and am currently 194.8 lbs.
47 lbs down in 4 months and 10 days.
I still have 53 lbs to go, but it is amazing how quickly you can change if you just trust the journey and give it your all.

Hello All I'm 30 and 5'4 I have been able to lose and stay at 130 so that's what I want to get back to. I believe that leaves me at like 50 lbs to lose. And just honestly really lacking the motivation to eat healthy and exercise again daily. I wish my 4 kids and Hubby was enough I just don't know. Hope to be back losing and feeling better soon.0

Hi, I'm 42. Starting weight 200 ish, lost about 50lb in 2013. I put a bunch back on, but have lost about 30 in the last 6 months. So currently at 155, want to get down to 135 to start with and will work out next steps then. I work in a dear job, but train, mainly strength, 5 days a week and make a point of walking in/out of work and the gym.
I've been told recently my health markets aren't great. Blood pressure high, cholesterol and blood sugar going in the wrong direction. So my why for getting this sorted is pretty much razor focused at the moment!1 -
Sorry meant to say, 5 foot 1.50

Hello there ladies. It's been six months and it's time for an update. I'm down a total of 63 lbs now and looking to drop another 22. My 46th birthday is in mid August, so I know I won't make it by then. So I'm looking to be at goal by the end of the year and go out on New Years in something amazing. My highest weight was 216. I always thought it was 205! Then I checked here and I may have started here lower but I gained. Sigh. Well I hope you all are doing well and meeting your personal goals as well.1

Great thread! I'm looking for inspiration as I'm 43, 5'2" and not sure of my weight as my scales are buggered, but a UK size 20 and the biggest I've ever been. As someone who was able to stick at around a size 12 with little effort, it's been quite a shock how quickly the weight has piled on since I hit 40
I know the principles of healthy living, I just struggle to put them into practice on a daily basis. But I've recently been diagnosed with hypertension, cholesterol levels off the charts and am borderline type 2 diabetic, so I NEED to make a change. I also desperately want to get back into all my gorgeous clothes!1 -
I'm 45, 5-4, 178 pounds. Used to be about 120 when I was younger. Now aiming for 138 to start with.1

@rabbyduby I started off with weight watcher based app until I got to the lowest amount of points--for Points Plus that was 26. I wasted my time there for about a year losing and gaining the same 15 pounds. And then I started watching my carbs by eating rice, bread and fruit before 2 pm. Then I started trying to keep those carbs under 100grams then 75, etc. recently I started keto when I found a website with great recipes that I tried and found delicious. That was ruled.me.com. Also some others like lowcarbmaven. I figure try a little bit of everything so as not to get bored as long as it's not crazy restrictive, right?2
