Calorie Deficit Question

My new garmin works out both my resting calories and my active calories.

So today for example I've ate 1900 calories and overall calories burned are 2901. That gives a calorie Deficit of roughly 1000 calories? And is the same as me working out my BMR & TDEE ect?

I know that these watches aren't 100% accurate!

Thanks in advance!

The total calorie burn would be your TDEE. BMR is just a part of TDEE, not important on its own.

Yeah I get what they are ect I just wondered if what the watch was doing was the same as me working those out and using them to calculate my deficit x

Yes it is. It will use your weight to estimate your BMR then add exercise and movement in to estimate your TDEE.

Be aware that fitness trackers can over estimate your calorie burns but you can easily assess this by comparing estimated weight loss against real loss.
