Just starting out.

I am 5"4, 270 lbs. Today is day one of my diet. Any helpful tips/workouts/sites to visit. Also does anyone know where I can get a free subscription to any type of fitness magazine. I think getting those monthly will keep me encouraged. Thanks!

    I get those magazines from the library! And I read them while walking on the treadmill! But mostly I worry about keeping within my calorie goal!

    The only subscriptions like this I've seen have been to places like Texture. It's just a free trial then you have to pay. You may want to check out motivational sites like sparkspeople.
