Hello, fellow LCHF peeps.
I have a question - probably answered somewhere already, but I can't find it right now and I'm too tired to look more extensively - about breakfasts.
Would it permitted to say take some plain Greek yogurt (or yoghurt as the rest of the world calls it) and add some powered peanut butter, or a chocolate protein powder to it, and eat that as a breakfast?
If the peanut butter powder and protein powder had no added sugars (or a very LOW sugar content) would it be alright?
I love eggs, but sometimes it gets a bit boring to have the same type of thing every morning.
I'm trying to keep husband interested in the program too, and he is easily changeable, so I need ideas :)
We used to like our oats and milk and apple and cinnamon, or granola and Greek yoggie, etc, and we miss it.

Any good brekkie ideas would be welcomed too.

I don't see why it wouldn't be okay, provided that you both enjoy it and find that it fits within your macros.

If you like oatmeal for breakfast, I like making a coconut "porridge" by mixing coconut flour and coconut milk (or regular milk, almond, whatever) together on the stove until it reached an oatmeal-like consistancy. At that point, I like to add more shredded coconut, fresh & dried fruit, cinnamon & other spices, and nuts. Then I'd eat it just as one would oatmeal.

assuming you guys are adults, you can eat anything you like for breakfast.

i'm not clear what you mean by 'all right' - in what sense? there's nothing wrong with it nutritionally. it's pretty arbitrary what we call 'breakfast' and what we don't. personally, i love having 'breakfast' for dinner sometimes.

    Yes, we're both adults, thanks.

I meant in keeping with the LCHF "structure" - would it contain too many sugars/etc ? I don't want to derail our progress simply because I thought it was fine and it ended up stopping us from progressing.
    Make sense?

That sounds delicious, and my husband loves coconut...
    Thank you!
