Should you weigh your meat before or after

I weigh mine in its rawest form, i.e. before it's been cooked and before any seasoning or anything else has been added.0

You won't underestimate the calories by weighing it before. I look for the MFP entries that are specifically for raw meat.0

It depends. Sometimes packages will give the raw and cooked weight. For example I have bought chicken breasts that have stated 4 oz. raw/3 oz cooked as a serving size.0

I always weigh it before I cook it - maybe not from a nutritional standpoint, although like someone else said, you won't be underestimating calories that way. But I do it more because that's what restaurants do - a 6oz steak is a 6oz steak before it shrinks and becomes a 4-5oz steak.
That actually just made me really sad. I haven't had steak in a while0 -
I normally do it raw, but sometimes I have to do it cooked because my husband "forgot" to weight it first. :grumble:0
