Exercises I can do while dealing with vertigo??

Hi there, I've been dealing with vertigo pretty consistently for about 2 months. I want so badly to workout but I don't know what exercises I can do that won't make me want to vomit. I usually do yoga or go for a walk. But both of those make me feel sick. The vertigo affects my peripheral and any head movement is difficult. Can anyone think of any suggestions that I could try? I'm seriously going stir crazy from not being able to do my daily exercises.

Try stationary biking. Gym memberships are generally running lower cost memberships this time of year. Make an appointment with your Dr about the vertigo, tho. You need to be safe, and it could be something as simple as altered ear pressure due to incorrectly blowing your nose.2

I am constantly dealing with vertigo looking down and laying down is killer but I have no problems doing my spin bike or wts as long as I don't lay down. I would suggest buying some meclizine that you can get over the counter its used mainly for motion sickness but works great for dizziness I would also suggest you talk to your doctor about seeing a specialist that deals with this problem. I take an allergy pill every morning too which helps keep it under control.1

What is the cause of the vertigo? If it is BPPV you may be able to get help with getting the crystals back their place in the inner ear. Dehydration, heart problems, allergies, neck tension or misalignment among a host of other things can cause vertigo. If you can identify the cause maybe you can remedy the vertigo.3

I've suffered from vertigo maybe for 4 years and when it's in an active stage, not even walking is possible. It does help for me to be very still and in a dark room.
Can you walk on a treadmill but not move your head? If you usually do yoga, I can't imagine those moves while your head is still.

Recumbent bike allows you to stay upright with your ears in line with your shoulders. Leg press, chest press machines... anything that keeps you upright is your best bet. And do your reps slowly.

Look for exercises that can done sitting or lying.0

I was just dealing with this for the first time. It passed within a few weeks but it was a struggle sometimes to workout.1

I saw an ENT today to try and find the cause. They don't know ☹️ but they tried some Epply maneuvers (sp?) and said it would remedy itself. I think it may be sinus related but unfortunately I'm so sensitive to meds, there is very little I can take for it.1

Have you been to the doctor for your vertigo? My ENT and Neuro are both able to do a series of head movements that send my vertigo packing fairly quickly. When I can't get an appt with either of them, Dramamine makes it more tolerable for short sessions of weight lifting.0

I saw an ENT today to try and find the cause. They don't know ☹️ but they tried some Epply maneuvers (sp?) and said it would remedy itself. I think it may be sinus related but unfortunately I'm so sensitive to meds, there is very little I can take for it.
Yes I have to do that very maneuver once in a while. It doesn't happen to me often fortunately but when it does I really hate it. Just a tip, if they were able to maneuver the crystals out of your balance apparatus don't do any inverted yoga poses for a day or so. That will ensure they don't get loose again.0 -

Could this be the beginning of peri? It was my very first symptom.
Try the Epley maneuvers a few more times... I still have to do them before yoga few weeks a year....
Sinus related? Yep, could be.
My ENT also suggested vestibular migraine... but said that would be peri-menopause too...
Good luck! Not fun!
