Snacking all day

I have been being healthy and eating at my calorie limit the past week or so but I slipped yesterday. I was working from home and I snacked and ate way more food then I should have and more than I needed. But I was bored and looking for breaks, so how do I avoid the unhealthy habit in the future? Advice?

You have to set limits/specific meal times if you are outside your normal routine. If you need a break, take one but make it a walking break (15 minutes outside then back to it.) I quit smoking several months ago and though I was doing this at work prior to my quit, my walks have been instrumental in my (mostly) maintaining of my weight during the holidays/my quit. For much of my life I didn't feel that I deserved a break if I didn't "need" a smoke, very unhealthy mentality. Schedule your day exactly as you would if you were at work. Pretend someone is watching your breaks if that helps your accountability.0

If I'm home on a day and feel "snacky" I will cut up fruit and veggies and stick them on a bowl on the table. It helps when you can quickly grab something healthy. It's also a mental trigger that if you don't want to eat any of that, you are really not hungry.3

I need to do this!0 -
I work from home and know the struggle!!
I find if I have too many temptations around I will eat them... try the fresh veggies for snacking idea, and set meal times, that helps. Also like the sugar free lemon mint ricola throat losenges.
Take stretching breaks and sip on some herbal tea.
It is so hard though. I'm a stress eater and boredom snacker!1 -
Get healthier snacks so it's not as bad.
Maybe set a time to eat (every 2-4 hours)
Eat something that fills you up so you aren't snacking as much
Meal prep. Everything will be done and you don't have to think about what to eat#/snack on
Stay away from the kitchen
Healthy snacks for your desk draw (almonds, etc)0 -
I snack all the time! It's the best! LOL, but yes, definitely get yourself some healthy snacks. I meal prep (specifically snacks-count out wheat thins, eat mostly fruit-strawberries are my favorite!) And drink tons of water with my little snacks.0

Drink coffee (with skim milk it's only about 25-cals), water and BCAA's throughout the day. All no or low-cal options to keep your mouth from munching. Get veggies to snack on. Pre-log your food, that helps me a lot.0 -

A few thing and they sound way easier to write down that to do.
Avoid being bored and have tea or water when you want a snack.
When I work from home (often) I try to schedule my breaks with things to do - I do a load of laundry, hang up the laundry, make myself tea and have a little walk around lunchtime to do some shopping.
I always make sure I don't have food in my home office only tea or water. I have to get up and go and get the snacks.
Last but not least what helps me is to pre-log those days. That way I am way less tempted to east something that is not on my pre-determined list0
