Eating after 8

Hi folks! I have a kind of ignorant question to ask, but here it goes!
I have over 1,000 calories left for today, exercise calories included.
I had dinner around 7:30 p.m. and I am full but MFP won't post that I logged my dairy in until I get to their requirements.

Question 1: Is eating after 7 okay?
Question 2: If so, will it alter my weight gain in any way?
Still new to counting calories and I just want to make sure I am doing this the CORRECT way.
Thanks to anyone who responds!

    1) Yes.
    2) No.

Bear in mind that we're not talking about extremes here, like the regimen sumo wrestlers use to gain weight. We're talking a few hundred calories within a couple of hours before bed. That's a perfectly OK thing to do.

Yes. Eat any time. Your body does not have a clock. It will not impact your loss long term. The only reason to avoid eating late is if it causes YOU digestive upset.

That being said, I have been under due to activity before. If I wasn't hungry, I just didn't "Complete" my diary that day. The "in 5 weeks" thing is totally bogus, and it doesn't hurt anything to not complete your diary. Being under once and a while won't hurt as long as over all you're meeting your nutritional needs.

Just make sure this doesn't happen all the time as there are lots of negative consequences for undereating even if you aren't hungry. Once in a while is fine though

You're safe until 8:27. Then you must stop.
Kidding. Timing of meals does not matter. As everyone here will tell you.

I literally am reading this...as I am eating dinner...at 8:28 PM. OH NOES.

I was going to ask which time zone that was because it's only 7:38 here so I'm good on the tiramisu I just ate.. unless it was a different time zone. Then I guess I'm in so much trouble. lol

To the OP? As the others said, any time. Even if you saved most of your calories for evening/night, it won't change your end result. (And you won't end up looking like a sumo wrestler unless you eat well over your necessary calories, regardless of time)

Uh oh, it's 8:45 and I haven't eaten yet. Am I going to die now?
