Hi everybody! I don't really have many friends (well, any really) struggling to lose any weight so I'm hoping to make a few here that understand what I'm going through! I've never really struggled to lose weight until this past year. In October 2011 my husband and I found out we were expecting and couldn't have been more excited! I vowed to stay healthy and exercise all throughout my pregnancy. Once I hit about month 6, I swelled up like a balloon and exercising became painful. I kept eating healthy, but it didn't seem to matter. I gained 80 lbs during my pregnancy despite my healthy habits. Luckily, most was water weight. Now, about a year and 1 month after my son was born, I still am looking at 20 lbs that needs gone. I work 7 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday, but I try to get some time in to workout. I go to Zumba classes 1-3 times a week (whenever my husband is off in time to be with our son) and try to hit the gym on the weekends but it seems like weekends are our time to catch up and get things done, or we're running here and there and everywhere!
Fed up with my job and very unhappy with having to leave my son at daycare, I have decided to stay home with him and run a daycare out of my own home! So, in the next couple of months I will be done at my job and home all day. I am very excited about this because I will no longer feel guilty coming home from work only to leave my son again to go work out! Now I can bring him with me at night to the gym and make use of their daycare, and go to my Zumba classes guilt free. I am really hoping this will help me to shed those last 20 lbs!
