Wellies!!!

Here's a serious question for you dog walkers out there, preferably those in the UK!

At this time of year, a good pair of wellies are invaluable for walking across the fields. I have had cheap wellies and more expensive wellies. But here's the rub......

I have had 2 pairs of Hunters. Each pair lasted just about a year. Bearing in mind that I only wear them in the winter, at £50+ a pair, I considered them very poor value for money. There was no way I was going to spend over £100 on a pair that, whilst they could be more comfortable, had no garauntee of lasting any longer.

So now I have gone for a cheap pair of Dunlops at £17 a pair. They are not as comfortable, and the lining is starting to give up after a few months. There are no signs of any leaks yet though, and a thick pair of socks gets round the comfort issue.

So what do you find a suitable balance?? Cheap or expensive?? Any favourite brands??

Thanks!!

Jon

Muckboots all the way!!! They are the two foot version of four wheel drive. Had mine for 6 years, live in the country, by the sea. They take all sits of punishment, mud, snow, salt and fresh water, climbing walls, fences, even trees. A mate of mine is a game keeper. Thinks Hunters are overpriced cr4p and wears muckboots too.
