Always forgetting to pack lunch

Hi all, I am HORRIBLE about forgetting to pack my lunch for work. I just suck at it. Even when I do remember to pack it, I'll even put it by my coat, purse, or other things and completely space on grabbing it with all the hubbub in the morning. Wrangling dogs, kids, and an evil feline should never be done at 7am alone. Being said what are some of your go to "oops forgot" meals? Either eating out somewhere or quick grab from the grocery store (I have 30 mins)?

I make my salad the night before, but if I can't I grab a prepared salad at the grocery store0

I keep a protein bar in my desk.0

I keep a protein bar in my purse. No excuses!0

Try putting a post it note on the door you leave from in the morning to remind you to take your lunch.2

Does your work have a fridge/kitchen area? Could you take some ingredients for making your lunches at the beginning of the week - wraps and fillings, salad vegies, soup to microwave, hb eggs, tins of tuna, cheese, some fruit, yoghurt etc
It would save you time, money, and you wouldn't need to remember daily2 -
Any kind of green salad is good for me, even from McD's. A protein bar never fills me up.0

If you have fast food places by your work, then you can look at their nutrition information and keep one or two 'go-to' items on there.
If fast food is not your style, then I would go to the grocery store and pick up a pre-made salad and maybe get some slices of deli meat from the counter to add to it for more protein.0 -

Hahaha, that's cute. My kids would probably take it off the door, wave it around with "Mom, what is this? Why do you need this?" If laying it ON TOP of my purse doesn't work I'm sure a post it note wouldn't either.

It does, that's a good idea0 -
What's in the lunches you are planning/making/packing? Maybe you want something else.0

Put your purse AND lunch in a bag together and make it a habit of taking that bag.1

Put your car keys inside the lunch box?6 -
Do you have a drawer or locker or something at work? Keep your lunch in there!
I keep my lunch in my drawer at work.
My drawer is stocked with tinned chicken, brown rice, soups, crackers and cheese, and fruit. I do bring a packet of frozen veggies and a single serve yogurt, but if I happen to forget those things, I can still put together something.2 -
Panera is next door to my office. Turkey chili or a salad for ~500 calories.0

It's winter here so depending what you pack it's totally feasible to keep lunch in the car lol! You could put a note on your steering wheel?0

Ask your kids to remind you to bring your lunch and set up a reward system if they do so every day of the week.1

I can usually make some sort of fast food fit into my daily calories if it comes to that. I just look at the nutritional information online and figure out what I can order for 500 calories or so before I leave.
There's also some restaurants near my job I can get salads from and I keep low calorie salad dressing in the refrigerator at work. I also stock my locker, desk drawer, and refrigerator at work with food for the week. Usually I have protein bars, granola bars, Greek yogurt, fruit snacks, fruit, etc.
I used to forget my lunch a lot, but honestly, now it's on the mental checklist of things I think about before leaving the house. Am I the only that does that? Usually I'm like "keys? Check. Phone? Check. Lunch? Check." Etc. it's the only way I can remember anything.1
