Curious what other on here enjoy for a good Bourbon or Scotch.

For Scotch these are some current favorites:
Glenfiddich Distillery Edition
Bowmore 18
Glenfarclas 17
Craigellachie 17

And Bourbon:
Blantons original
Four roses single barrel
Bulleit

Think I'll try Woodford Reserve double oaked next time I pick up a Bourbon.

I <3 pumpkin spice latte beer

    *kitten*.

Not that there's anything wrong with that :)

    Lagavulin
    Benvoulin

Maybe I should be careful posting after a half bottle of wine (but it fit in my calories for the day).

I guess I prefer black douglas

But 99% of the time I mix it with coke so the scotch isn't so important.

I used to joke that I mixed 20+ year old scotch with fanta, it annoyed some scotch aficionados.

I'm not a scotch fan, but I love bourbon. I prefer Eagle Rare or Woodford Reserve. So smooth!

I like maker's mark, and Jack Daniels but I usually settle for Jim Beam

I've just found a new affinity for bourbon (and Coke Zero). Never been much of a Scotch girl.

I usually just drink Jim Beam, so will look at the responses for some good bourbons...though I'd hate to 'ruin them' with my Coke Zero. ;)

Ah, it depends what you are drinking for! A wonderful aperitif is Glenkinchie, 10 miles down the road from me. Or after dinner or by the fire, Lagavulin or Old Pultney from the very north of Scotland. BUT!!!! dare I say that Bushmills from Ireland is wonderful too. Whisky is simply braw. And if you put coke in it, you should be shot
    twice, just to be sure!

Wow lots of Bourbon fans on here! Tried woodford reserve double oaked last night. Definitely a great Bourbon!

Have to say I prefer Scotch over Bourbon but not by a long shot. Both neat. If higher than 45% occasionally add a few drops of water to dial it down a bit.

I still like scotch on the rocks. Big ice cubes if possible. I've tried with just water but don't like it as much.
Rye needs some kind of coke. Coke Zero these days.

Good taste, same here. Or a nice glass of Talisker. Can't afford Lagavulin at the moment sadly and my bottle of Laphroaig quarter cask is down to the last couple of glasses :(

Bourbon - Bulleit, Basil-Hayden and Maker's Mark - Depends on my budget for the week, LOL. I can't really quit get over the peatiness of a good scotch. Brings back bad memories of getting knocked to the ground and eating dirt in gradeschool.
