Looking for Buddies

Hey Friends! I'm trying to build some accountability into my fitness journey. I'm struggling with some disordered eating patterns, so I'm focused on eating nutritious meals in amounts that fill me up without being over stuffed and not binging, eating mindlessly, or eating when stressed. I'm going to try not weighing myself or logging calories daily. Instead I'll be measuring my waist, hips, and thighs to track my progress and focusing on my relationship with food.

I'm also looking for people to be exercise buddies. I'd love a little more accountability in the gym. I like swimming, yoga, jump rope, circus arts, aerial silks, and I'm looking to try HIIT and/or weightlifting.

I'm 5'4" and 150lbs. Ideally, I'd like to lose about 30lbs, but that might cut into my muscle weight and I don't want that. I'm in decently good shape right now, but I've got lots of room for improvement.

I can't wait to meet you all!

Also looking to increase my "healthy competition" buddy count from 0. I know the feeling with poor eating habits and dietary choices and am transitioning to a full wholefoods vegan diet and lifestyle. I'm also dealing with a significant amount of stress, and have taken to recording lots of measurements and logging everything I consume. (It helps a lot when you have connected devices that will keep track even if you don't want to look at the numbers).

If you are prepared to write about your journey in whatever terms you want to record it, I'll come along on the journey with you, however I won't be able to join you at the gym or out on a track anywhere.

Having an automatic devise record everything for me so I don't have to look sounds ideal.

I think that getting the right bunch of fitness/weight loss "gear" is a challenge in itself! It's like buying a 12 month gym membership and only going for the first week. It can be darn difficult to get the right fit for you if you don't know what your options are! I read a multitude of forums for a few months, and trialled a Fitbit blaze and aria before returning them. I've since gone for the Apple watch 2, a basic but connected Withings scale, MFP and the beddit3 sleep tracker. For where I'm at, and what I'm trying to achieve it is basically right for me. From just a quick look at your profile pic, I'd hazard a guess that you might need something a bit different!
