Calories in potato

This is another one of those frustrating questions which doesn't really have an answer, and it's really kittening me right off.
Different packages for potatoes give me different results per 100g. Google tells me anything from 100 to 250 cals per 100g.
I want to make chips/fries/wedges. I can weigh the potatoes I use but what do I log per 100g??? Obviously not including any oils or dressings I add.
Thanks!

I tend to go with what the packaging says0

I imagine it's because it depends on the variety of potato (Maris Piper vs King Edward for example) though I haven't paid too much attention. I'd go with what the packaging says.4

In MFP, search for "potatoes flesh raw" and chose one of the green checked food items that provides a gram weight choice.0

I would go by the package, or at least by the type of potato. I'm not a potato expert, but I thought the types differed in starch content, which I assume would impact calories.3

This. If you don't want to use the packaging information (although I normally would if it were there, as I am sure there are slight differences in type of potato), the USDA is a reliable source. It's what I always use for whole foods like potatoes (which don't come in a package where I get them).0 -
Find raw potato, with or without skin, in the database, weigh your potato and then add oil or whatever you use separately.0

If the calories are on the package why would you not want to use that? It's got to be more accurate than any random number you find elsewhere.0

Hmm - thang sounds a bit too much if it's for raw potatoes - mine are usually in the region of 75-85 calories per 100 raw?0
