Better how? They both contain comparable amounts of calories, protein, fat and carbs per serving. Personally, I eat both. It just depends on my mood.4

Peanut butter is safe to have in the house. The same cannot be said of almond butter.0

Oh god, yes.
Altho I actually prefer sunflower seed butter to all of the above.4 -
Like both but prefer almond. Also enjoy cashew butter. Better for you? Depends on how much you eat, plus if there is any added sugar or salt (unnecessary for my tastes).0

The sunflower seed butter truly is the best. I have a hard time finding it, though.1 -

I've never heard of this. Definitely adding it to this weekend's shopping list!1 -

No. No. No. You are wrong. Justin's Honey Peanut Butter is the best.
Carry on.2 -
They are both dangerous for me to be around. Particularly raw almond butter. Pure crack.2

Currently, I have peanut butter, cashew butter and sunflower butter in the house. I alternate between cashew and almond. I always have peanut and sunflower. Variety is the spice of life.3

I like the peanut butter with honey.0

I'd eat either one sparingly, but I think almond butter0

I'm trying to lower my cholesterol so I tend to eat almond butter. They were on my recommended food list.1

Both, preferably on a spoon, dipped in chocolate chips2

I prefer peanut butter for making sandwiches, but I prefer almond butter for making cookies.1

I don't really like nut butters, much prefer whole nuts, but nutrition-wise I think it doesn't matter.3

Trader Joe's Sunflower Nut butter for the win! cashew nut butter is tasty too..1 -
Pistachio butter. I found it once at a farmer's market, and now I make it myself. Just toss pistachios in the food processor.1

TJ's brand is $4.99 a jar, Sunbutter brand I've seen for $7.99 - $ 8.99 a jar. I think they were the company that came out with it? I've tried both in my opinion TJ's is by far the better tasting one.1 -

I felt that way about Trader Joe's cookie butter when I tred the Biscof brand. It just wasn't the same.
My problem with ANY kind of nut butter is I'm a stick a spoon in the jar for just a taste and 8 tastes later, I'm still not logging it kind of girl so it's rare I buy it anymore.2 -
I like both! I avoid eating huge amounts due to the calories and carbs, but when I crave something sweet, a measured tablespoon of Justin's Honey Almond Butter does the trick!0
-

You're talking about their Speculoos, right? I swear that stuff is made out of crack. I can easily eat an entire jar in one sitting. Hence my presence here on MFP.1 -

I ALWAYS CALL IT CRACK!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY SOMEONE ELSE CALLING IT CRACK EXCITES ME SO MUCH!!!!
Whew! Sorry about that. In other news, John Lennon pretends to snort a bottle of coca cola in A Hard Day's Night.0 -
Pretty much any nut butter is going to be pretty equal in nutritional value. Just remember to measure carefully because they are high in (healthy) fat and calories.
I like keeping PB2 around the house for when I want the Peanut Butter flavor in baking or drinks but without the excess calories. I can't say I've ever made it into a paste to substitute peanut butter because it is different, but it tastes pretty close to the same.0
