Okay, just have to ask--Golds Gym resistance bands

So I bought some Golds Gym resistance bands today because recently I've been subbing out weight training for more resistance training, for no real reason other than I enjoy it more and I've found it harder to skimp on form with the bands. Anywho, there's a label on the back that says that it "contains one or more chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm."
I'm not pregnant or trying to be, but I would definitely not like cancer, though I have a feeling that the warning is extreme or else they wouldn't have it on the market. But I've never seen that label before so I'm not sure how seriously to take it. What are your thoughts, should I return them or nah?

I've seen the warning on a few things - even living in Australia, on imported products.. I'd say you'll be fine perhaps just don't eat them for breakfast every day3 -

California has very strict rules that no other state has. I see this label on lots of things. It doesn't stop me from using them, but its a personal decision whose rules you want to go by. There's no guarantee that it will or won t harm you, and honestly there's no way to ever know. Personally I wou ll don't worry too much about resistance bands.
Just an added note, since you like t h e bands you should also look into TRX if you can take Some classes or personal training to learn the technique.0 -
I'm pretty sure at this point California puts that on everything just in CASE you might get cancer from walking around in that state.
So- just don't eat it-smoke it or sleep with it and you'll probably be fine.1
